Welcome New Attorneys Michelle Albright and Kristen Sellers

These rock star additions will establish our firm’s new office in Roseville, opening later this year.

We’re thrilled to announce the additions of senior attorney Michelle Albright and associate Kristen Sellers. Michelle will begin serving clients from our Folsom office by early February and will eventually head-up our Roseville location. Kristen hit the ground running with us last week. Experienced paralegal Jenn Wilkinson will quarterback the duo, starting next month.

Read news coverage of these additions in the Sacramento Business Journal’s January 17th article “Michelle Albright to join family law firm Forester Purcell Stowell” (subscription required)

Michelle Albright brings more than a decade of experience to FPS, rounding out our seven-attorney roster. She began her legal career at Downey Brand LLP where she worked alongside FPS shareholders Neil M. E. Forester and Michelle L. Stowell in that firm’s Family Law Department. She also held positions with the State of California and the Placer County District Attorney’s Office before rejoining Neil at Goyette and Associates, along with FPS shareholder Matthew K. Purcell.

Fun Fact: We now have three MICHELLEs on our team: Michelle Stowell, Michelle Albright, and Michelle Cerini, our Office Administrator. Nicknames are being deployed.

What Neil said:
Adding Michelle, Kristen, and Jenn aligns perfectly with our strategic growth plan and enhances our existing strengths for handling complex premarital, divorce and custody matters. They each have a natural presence with clients that extends to the whole team – an important fit for our culture and brand.

What Michelle Albright said:
I’ve enjoyed serving a diverse clientele over the past several years and have worked alongside some very talented civic, business and litigation attorneys. This is an opportunity to fine-tune my practice for family law clients, reconnect to like-minded colleagues I launched my career with, and spearhead a firm’s geographic expansion. It’s a unique occasion that ultimately serves my clients in the best possible way. I’m lucky to be in a position to make this transition to a tailored platform.

A graduate of McGeorge School of Law, Michelle Albright currently serves as board treasurer of the Placer County Bar Association and board president of the Placer County Law Library. She recently volunteered for Second Saturday, a nationwide network of divorce workshops developed for women and offering financial, emotional and legal advice via a panel of professionals.

Kristen Sellers is a graduate of Golden Gate University School of Law and has practiced exclusively in family law since 2014. Before joining FPS, she held positions at the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office, the Solano County District Attorney’s Office, the Alameda County Superior Court, and the Family Violence Law Center in Oakland. During her undergraduate studies at University of California, Davis, she served as an advocate for victims of domestic violence in Sacramento and Yolo counties.
