WEAVE Walk a Mile in Her Shoes 2019

FPS is a proud supporter of WEAVE’s Walk a Mile in Her Shoes fundraiser, taking place on Sunday, May 19th at Crocker Park, Sacramento.

For 9 years, Sacramento’s heroes have been Walking a Mile in Her Shoes. This year we are asking you to join us and share your superpower for helping to bring an end to violence in our community! Men, women, and children are invited to walk the route, heels or no heels. This year’s goal is to raise $250,000 to support critical crisis intervention services for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence in our community.  All funds raised will be invested in WEAVE’s 24/7 services.

Swing by the FPS “Pump Up Your Walker” sign-making station to create your superpower sign!

WALKERS: All genders and ages are invited to register for the walk. Join #TeamFamilyLaw or create your own super squad of walkers:

What to Wear
Wondering what goes with those shoes and need some tips?  We love seeing teams and walkers have fun and dress up for this event! We will even have best dressed and best team spirit awards. While we love to see our participants be enthusiastic about the event and we love seeing team costumes, we kindly ask that men refrain from wearing skirts, dresses and other types of women’s apparel outside of the shoes.
